New Delica L300 owner

We just purchased a 1996 Delica Star wagon L300. My son and I picked it up last week in Ca. and drove it 1900 miles for the first time getting it back to Wi. Was a great road trip and we didn't have any issues with the little L300. We opted to drive vs having it shipped as in a couple weeks our son is heading back out west in the Delica and will be spending time camping (van life) and touring several western states he's looking to move to. So, we wanted to see how it performed in the mountains before he headed out on his own. For what these vans are, it did slightly better than we expected in the mountains. Now that we have it home, we are doing a full shake down and going through it changing fluids, new brakes, radiator flush, new shocks, new rearview mirror, and new tires. So far everything else seems to be checking out ok. This forum has definitely been helpful already!

That 1900 mile trip was hopefully the start of many adventures in your ownership. AT or 5spd? Add a EGT gauge if it doesn't already have one.
 
Looks like a nice one. I am about to import one myself. Have been back and forth on whether or not to do it. 94 star wagon exceed. Looks great all the way in Japan
 
Definitely a lot of fun working on the L300 getting it ready for our son's road trip. Actually, very pleased with the van. we were a little concerned at first about getting an older vehicle, but don't regret it at all. Actually, thinking about starting to look for one for myself now.
 
Where in Wisconsin do you live? I spend time around La Crosse during the summer. I'm actually heading back that way soon.
