Hey Team - Recently acquired this L300 Active World and am stoked to be a part of the community!
Spec: Blue/Gray, 1997 L300 Active World, automatic, turbo-d, high roof, bench seat with about 174,000KM on it. Purchased from Island Imports SSI and could not have had a better transaction experience, highly recommend going through them if you are in the Southeast US.
I've been a long time admirer of the Delica platform as the perfect adventure-mobile, when this one popped up on FB marketplace I knew it was time to pull the trigger. Also had some positive peer pressure from forum member @LetsDriveIt ..
My plans are to slowly achieve a clean OEM+ style build with a camper box in the back (in lieu of the 3rd bench) for weekend camping while still being able to daily it if desired. Other than that I'd like to do some reliability mods, beef up wheels/tires, and possibly add a roof rack, solar and awning over time. Ultimate goal is to find the time to take it across the country. (Side note: I've been looking around for good examples of simple camper box builds that retain the middle bench seat, if you are aware of any please send them my way)
As mentioned in title, I'm based in the Tampa Bay Florida area. If you're also based around here let me know! Friends have already spotted a couple around town. Eager to get the car down to Karr Automotive in Fort Myers for a full inspection/service this spring, though it's running great in the meantime.
